Healthy Living Week
Reception have had a fun Healthy Living week. They took part in an obstacle course, created posters to promote a healthy lifestyle and have observed what happens to teeth if we drink too many fizzy drinks. They have also taken care of their mental health and well being by meditating, dancing, using their calm bags and listening to stories.
Year 6 Art Exhibition
Year 6 have been learning about Activism and taking a stand for issues they feel passionately about. They used a range of collage and monoprinting techniques to create posters in the style of a protest.
Wigan Warriors
Wigan Warriors have run workshops for our Year 5 pupils at Baines' for the past 3 weeks. We wanted to show our appreciation by asking our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to wear red and white wishing them good look in the Challenge Cup Final.
EYFS - Lifecycle of a butterfly
Reception have enjoyed watching the lifecycle of a butterfly first hand. The caterpillars started off very small and they grew much bigger over the space of a week! They then turned into chrysalis. Over the weekend the butterflies emerged and today we set them free in the garden.
Where's Wally Fun Run
The ‘Where’s Wally’ Fun Run was enjoyed hugely by children and staff alike. As soon as the total raised is known you will be informed. Many thanks to everyone who contributed and took part.
Year 4 Gulp Challenge
Year 4 will be taking part in the Gulp challenge organised by Blackpool Community Trust. Their challenge is to swap fizzy drinks for water for 21 days. Pupils will be given a water bottle and a water record tracker to assist them with their challenge.
