Reception Curriculum
In Reception, we follow the Early Years Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, published in March 2014, and updated in September 2021 by the DFES. We follow the progress of the children using the Development Matters Framework. This framework specifies the requirement for learning and development in the Early Years and provides specific areas of learning we must cover in our curriculum. These areas are:
- Communication and Language Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
Continuous provision is an important part of our curriculum throughout Reception.
